Pre school children giving life to the adventures of Hodja, the Turkish folk-tale hero.First part of the project after listening to the story was making the characters into stick figures. The children also made some background scenery. The tree seen in the pictures is an almond tree.
Second part of the project was creating eastern style of sounds with different kind of instruments found in our daycare centre. The children came up with the instruments after listening to a Turkish song. The melody of the song was played by the teacher with a guitar and the children improvised with other instruments.
The last part of the project was to perform it to the other children.
