ACM Weekly Study Groups
• All Level 5 and Level 6 Students have got weekly 40-minute study groups scheduled in your timetable. These are for students only.
• You will find the timing of your allocated study group in your timetable and find the google hangout invite link to this in your ACM Gmail calendar.
• These study groups are for you to support each other by sharing ideas and study tips and by reviewing and discussing what you are learning in your module classes.
• If you only have access to a shared computer in your household you will be able to demonstrate that you have a timetabled study session for which you would need the computer to join this group who will support you.
Study Groups can also be used to:
Your module tutor will also provide some guidance for this. You can add stuff to the reading list, suggest useful videos or websites and any other research you happened to have carried out. You could arrange a watch party for recommended videos or take a book club approach to texts!

What if you prefer to study alone?
• There is no directive for you to take part in the study groups if you prefer not to. We have put these groups in place for students who prefer to study together with others.
• You can opt out of your study group completely or just keep in touch by email rather than joining the weekly link
• As a student studying on your own you will still have access to the learning resources that are provided by ACM. If you try the study group approach, you may find that your whole group benefits from the shared resources that you bring together in your group .
• Your study group does not carry any credits for your programme. It is just a group study space in a virtual library. You can exchange ideas, learning approaches and suggest and review reference materials together in your group.
• You will need to make time for the independent study for each of your modules and can use this group to help keep you motivated, organised and on track!

CAMPUS BASE GROUPS
• These weekly Base groups are scheduled in your timetable as Student Meet-up Groups for L6 and L5 students from a specific campus. You will also find the google hangout links in your ACM Gmail calendar. These are for students only.
• These Base groups are for students from the same campus to support each other by sharing ideas and concerns. These groups can be used to problem-solve and to encourage you by reviewing and discussing what and how you are learning in your pathways in the ACM Digital All Campus Timetable.
