StructurDek GLT is a traditional mass timber construction material ideal for floor and roof applications.
GLT functions as a series of individual structural
boards spanning in one direction. The glue-bond
between boards holds the panel together
in width and adds enhanced fire protection,
moisture mitigation and dimensional stability
over non-laminated products.
StructurDek GLT is produced as large Glulam
billets turned and placed on their side. Glulam
grading requirements are optimized to reflect
this end use.
Pound for pound, StructurDek GLT is stronger
than steel and is ideal for architecturally-exposed
and unidirectional span applications.

PROFILES
Standard
Fluted
1. Fluted spans will vary from engineered tables. Final span
confirmation based on flute size to be determined by EOR.
2. Standard flute dimensions are 40 mm wide x 13 mm deep.
1. This table is based on a maximum dead load of 2.0 kPa.
2. Engineer to ensure that permanent load deflection of L/360, live load deflection of L/360,
and total load deflection of L/180 is appropriate for intended use.
3. Floor vibration criteria should be checked by EOR.
4. Maximum span values presented in this table only apply for single span, uniformly
distributed, unidirectional load conditions. Maximum spans do not consider concentrated
loads or two-way span capacity.
5. The lumber grade used in the span table is #2 & better.
6. Proper fire protection must be engaged between all board joints for applicable fire ratings.
7. Double span applications may see a ~20% performance increase. To be confirmed by EOR.
8. This panel selection table can be referenced on pg. 102 of the Canadian Wood Design Manual 2017.
For applications with deflection limits or loading different than what is indicated above, refer to
CSA O86-14 or contact your Structurlam technical representative.
