Over the past 24 years I have successfully worked in many areas of the transportation industry for a total of 5 trucking companies. I have worked through
the ranks of Wash Bay Attendant, Parts Department, Truck Technician, Trailer Technician, Training Coordinator, Assistant Shop Manager, Body Shop Manager,
Trailer Shop Manager, Safety Compliance Manager, Service Manager and currently, Regional Service Manager.
Lead multiple projects from getting tire inventory under control, parts department ranging from 100,000.00 to 150,000.00, provided daily operational reviews/quality control along with productivity and efficiency reports.
Responsible for Region covering Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Buford, GA and minimal assistance with Memphis, TN. Traveled up to 35% while still covering and communicating home location of Dallas TX.
Assisted department Managers, Foremen and Technicians in problem solving, team building, production, and reports while assigned to the self-contained departments.
Successfully supervised numerous employees while conducting annual evaluations for as many as 75 Employees, Foreman and Managers.
Provided customer Intervention/Resolution, Manpower Scheduling, Quality Control, Payroll, and Special Projects/Plant Extensions and Evaluations.
Reduced employee turnovers by making necessary changes to the work force to provide a healthy and safe work environment. Enhanced employee appearance, and spearheaded the implementation of employee safety with a current safety record of more than 566 days injury free in Maintenance Shops.
Supervised and maintained several areas to ensure production remained at its highest levels with 85% being the company minimum per location but able to have employees reach production levels on a consistent basis of over 90% production, all while keeping minimal expense. In charge of Warranty, Service Writers, Claims and Payroll.
Main point of contact for all departments in case of an emergency. Also tested/repaired equipment ranging from pumps, Fuel Island, Veeder root, and/or Compressors.
Attended multiple workshops regarding city compliance, storm water management and control. Underground storage fuel tanks and lines.
Responsible for Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Negotiating all pricing with all vendors throughout the DFW area, Houston TX, and Atlanta (Buford GA). (Labor Rates, and Supply Cost)
Responsible for reducing labor and supply cost in the Body Shop from 24,000.00 monthly to 6,000.00 monthly.
Responsible for Safety Compliance, assuring all employees are following implemented policies in regards to all safety requirements. Fire Extinguishers, Protective Eye Wear, Ladders, and Respirator Fit Testing, Conducting monthly safety meetings and monthly shop/work shop inspections.
