Batteries

Electrical System

• All energy sources must be short circuit protected• must be as close to the source as possible• could be either a fuse or circuit breaker

• All vehicle electrical circuits must be protected against electrical overload• Propulsion battery must be electrically isolated from the vehicle frame and

accessory battery circuit• External & internal E-stop

• physical isolation of propulsion battery from electrical system• if relay is used, the relay must be a normally open contact type

• Be aware of the insulation method, if the carbon fibre with the electrical conductivity feature for the car body

Each run consists of 2 laps

Cars must stop 1 times for a 10 second pit stop

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the race format during the event in the interest of driver safety

Racetrack Manager -Responsible to maintain the racetrack operation, and ensure the racetrack safety-determining whether or not to suspend a race in case of dangerous-Direct and lead the team car in correct position by showing the Flags

Arrangement for Final

Criteria

1 The Performance of Scrutineering day

- Solar car will pass through the scrutineering booths, including static, and

dynamics scrutineering on 15th September, 2018

- Solar car performance on scrutineering day, with high completeness will be

considered.

2 The Completeness of Technical submission

- After webcast, the submission is commented

- Teams please based on the comment, and submit the updated version of

technical submission for Organiser’s review not later than 31st August, 2018

- Review based on the parameter, and photos submitted by Teams

- Submission date will also be one of the factors under selection process

• This year, we extend the quota from 10 teams to 20 teams

• 20 Teams out of 30, will be eligible for Final competition

• Remain teams will be invited for car showcase on event day

• Selection will be based on the following criteria:
