Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of One (01) Project linked personpurely on temporary basis to work in a project under the J.C. Bose National Fellowship Research Grant funded byDepartment ofScience and Technology, Government of India in the Machine Intelligence Unit of the Institute, KolkataThe work is in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and/or Computational Biology.

Essential: M.E/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Sciencel Electronics/Information Technology or M.Sc. in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Electronics/

Computer Science who have completed their Masters dissertation in the area ofArtificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and/or Computational Biology. Those

who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply.

Qualifications

Desirable: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Computer Sciencel ElectronicsMathematicsElectrical/ Statistics/ and related areas. Relevant

research/teaching/design and development experience in Artificial Intelligence,Machine Learning and/or Computational Biology. Research publication in

Science Citation Indexed (SC) journal in the areas of Artificial Intelligence,Machine Learning and/or Computational Biology.

Consolidated 30000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) to T45000/- (Rupees fotyfive thousand only) per month, depending on the qualification and experience.

Pay

The appointment will be till 31 March 2021 from the date of his/her joining theInstitute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending onavailability of funds and performance of the candidates.

Tenure of Appointment

The age limit is 35 years as on 01 August 2020, with usual relaxation forSC/ST/OBC and differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given tooutstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
