NWEA – Map Growth Assessment on
itslearning with Zoom Office Hours Next week our 1st – 8th grade students will take their beginning-of-the-year
assessments through NWEA via itslearning on Tuesday – Friday. The assessments
will begin with a scheduled Zoom session. Students will then begin the test at a
designated time. The homeroom teacher will provide Zoom office hours during the
assessments for anyone who may experience technical difficulties. Thank you for ensuring that your child is
logged onto to his/her Zoom session on time every day so that students have enough time to take their
assessments. This assessment will help us create an individual learning plan for your child. No grade is
associated with this test; it simply helps us determine what your child knows and what your child is ready to
learn. Certain grades take certain assessments. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
Map Growth Assessment with Zoom Office Hours – Please log on at your designated time. *These sessions are in addition to your normally scheduled Zoom sessions.

Technology Tips 1. Write down your itslearning username and password and/or
memorize it.
2. It would be helpful if all students had a microphone in addition to their camera. We would like to hear their lovely voices on Zoom.
3. When submitting assignments on itslearning, add all photos/documents to the assignment BEFORE pressing submit. Students can only submit once.
4. If your child submits an incorrect assignment, then please notify the teacher. The teacher has to mark it as INCOMPLETE in itslearning in order for the program to allow the student to send in another
submission.
5. You are welcome to download the itslearning app on your phone. It is often easier to submit photos via your phone.

Welcome back, Mustangs!
Parents, we will start gradually bringing our athletic programs back to St. James. We are going to follow all the safety guidelines that are requested by our school and league. Our kid's safety and health are our priority in having any successful sports program. Volleyball is going to be the first sport of the school year. I am asking any young ladies, in fifth grade through eighth grade, who are interested in trying out for Volleyball to please let me know by emailing me at gerald.uranga@stjamesschoolsa.org. I will give out more information at a later time.
Thank you,
Coach Uranga Athletic Director
