CHANGES TO WEEKDAY
MASS SCHEDULE FOR JAN & FEB Please be sure to check the Calendar of Events,
included in the bulletin each weekend,
to help plan where you will attend the morning Mass.
HELP NEEDED KEEPING CHAIRS ALIGNED IN THE CHURCH We are in need of a couple young people who would be willing to give an hour or so of their time in ser-
vice to the parish every couple of months! As you may notice, the rows of chairs often become misaligned as
people sit down and stand over a period of time, shifting forward and backward, left and right. Right now, there
are rows where the seats do not properly align to the kneelers in front of them. So we need “new blood” to help
with this job as the two most recent volunteers are no longer with the parish due to job changes or PCS-ing with
the Air Force.
A spacing bar is provided to help set the proper distance between rows and make sure the chairs line up
with the kneelers, and training will be provided! If you can give an hour or so to the church every couple of
months, all of us would be so grateful! Call Mary at the Parish Office if interested. 254-6233.
WE ARE BACK IN ORDINARY TIME Happy Second Sunday of Ordinary Time!
Ordinary Time is the time outside of our two
major solemnities, Christmas and Easter, and their
preparatory seasons, Advent and Lent. Instead of the
readings focusing on preparation for Christ’s birth or
his second coming or the events leading up to his
death and resurrection, Ordinary Time scripture tells
of Jesus “regular” life experiences with the people—
his calling of the disciples, his travels, his miracles,
his major teachings. As we move anew into the life
of the historical Jesus, let us once again ponder how
we learn more about our Savior and love him more
dearly.
This year there are seven Sundays in Ordi-
nary Time Winter, which ends on Tuesday, February
26, as we celebrate Shrove Tuesday and get ready for
Ash Wednesday and Lent the next day!
SENSORY FRIENDLY MASS In an effort to embrace and welcome the members of our church with Autism, Down Syndrome,
and other special needs, St. Helen Parish will be hosting a Sensory Friendly Liturgy for the com-
munity at large. Please join us on Sunday, January 26 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. The Mass will be cel-
ebrated by Bishop Binzer.
We encourage you to share details of this Mass with anyone that may appreciate our beautiful
liturgy. During this Mass you will experience:
Lower lights
No Incense
Softer acoustical music
A shorter and more literal homily
Gluten free host and small host portions (if needed)
Picture flip books of the Order of Mass
Social Story Missals
We invite everyone to join us!
If you would like more information please contact Mel in the parish office at 254-6233.

ELIZABETH NEW LIFE CENTER Elizabeth’s New Life Center is in dire need of
RDMS techs to perform ultrasounds in our seven Women’s

hospital shifts, missing holidays with the family, want to
work in a pro-life environment and are not in need of the
big bucks, you are the type of person we are looking for.
While the compensation is not on a par with the hospitals,
the Christian work environment and flexibility more than
make up for it! Call the HR department of ENLC at 937-
226-7414 or go on-line to www.elizabethnewlife.org to
apply. Some of our positions are called Sonography/
Consultants; those are the ones we are looking for as the
RDMS also does consulting.

life” this weekend at McAuley hall immediately following
the 11AM mass at Queen of Martyrs. Please join us for a
light lunch followed by a riveting talk by a published au-

nier. The respect life committee of Region 2 welcomes all

visit their non-custodial parent. We babysit children and
support low income single mothers at the Glen at St. Jo-
