• ~ 20 Local Certified Repair Shops

Program Steps

• Vehicle Fails Emissions Test

• Program Brochure Provided to All Owners of Failed Vehicles

• SNAP Pre-Qualifies as Low Income & Refers Clients to Approved Repair Shops

• Motor Vehicle Repaired & Re-Tested

• Shops Invoice SNAP for Repairs

Program Details

• Up to $100 for Emissions System Diagnosis

• Up to $400 for Repairs

• State Agency Authorizes Repairs in Excess of $300

• State Agency Referees Disputes Over Repairs & Their Cost

Program Funding

• SEPs Through Two Large Civil Settlements With Major Industrial Facilities
