A Few Words About Caring For Your Voice

• Speak with your natural voice

• Work with SpeakQ when you feel relaxed, when you can sit comfortably and with good posture

• To prevent a dry mouth, breath in through your nose and have frequent sips of water to ‘wet your whistle’

• Take a break every ten minutes or so

• Try to vary the pitch of your voice and intonation. Speaking in a monotone can stress your voice

• Work in a room that has a humidifier if you can

• Keep dust to a minimum

• Take it slow!

• Do not continue to use SpeakQ if you have any pain or loss of speech while dictating. See a doctor if you experience frequent hoarseness, a sore throat or any other discomfort.

Things to AVOID

• DO NOT SMOKE or use SpeakQ in a room filled with tobacco smoke

• Avoid clearing your throat. Instead, take a drink of water and swallow hard instead

• Avoid excessive coughing. If coughing is unavoidable, take a break!

• Congratulations, you are now ready for
