Transfers the charge from the IGNITION COIL to the Cylinder Head

What is a Spark Plug Gap?

The gap allows the electrical charge to jump across causing a spark

Narrow Gap:

Risk: Spark might be too week to ignite AFMBenefit: Plug always fires on each cycle

Wide Gap:

Risk: Plug may not fire OR miss at high speedBenefit: Plug is strong for clean burn

Gapping a Spark Plug

First: The appropriate gap needs to be Determined.

Refer to the Manual for Specs

Second: Select the appropriate Gapping Gauge

Slide Gauge into gap and adjust the gap prong

Reinstall the spark Plug into Cylinder Head

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!!!!!!
