Members and friends of the Hoosier Sail & Power Squadron gathered in Michigan for the South Haven Rendezvous 2011.

Some early arrivals started the party at The Idler Riverboat Pub with drinks all around.

The Joanna Grace, a President 37, belonging to Nancy & Bob Beall.

The Thirsty Perch was a lunch favorite for many of the attendees.

Members of HSPS make plans at the Thirsty Perch.

Others settled in to enjoy wine sampling at the St. Julian Wine Room.

The evening saw the first of dockside pitch-in dinners by and for the HSPS.

There was a wide assortment of food and libation for all who attended.

Good food, good drinks, and good friends always make for good conversation!

Cruisers of all sizes attended!

On Saturday, several members were treated to sailing excursions out of South Haven.

John Craig piloted the Tusen Takk to the enjoyment of all aboard.

Not only is it a beautiful vessel, but the deck service was fantastic! First Mate Pat Craig was an awesome hostess to those of us onboard.

In like manner, Mark Winzenried also took several people sailing on the Nakiyowin, a Catalina 37

The Tusen Takk enters the river to the South Haven Marina.

Some powerboat friends out of Michigan City, IN, were anchored at the Marina too.

It isn’t all “sailing”, there is shopping to be done too!

Nancy and Holly shop for wine. Always a good choice that goes with anything.

Shopping and shoes just go together! John Craig prepares the grill for the Saturday evening meal. Good supervision is always available.

Brad Blackburn arrives in time for dinner and is properly greeted.

Yes, that’s Brad’s rubber ducky. You ask him, I don’t want to know! ;-)

HSPS members prepare the picnic deck at the South Haven Marina for the cookout.

The deck offered a good view of the marina area and the river front buildings.

We shall drink no wine before it’s time. And it’s always time for wine!

The food was good and plentiful as well.

Enjoying the evening.

Food Guards! We need them! Cmd Kathleen Miller thanks the members for making this a great event.

If you have to ask… Everybody was well fed this evening.

Sunday morning was a chance to stroll along the river.

The morning seagull flock on the beach.

Nancy Beall gets her feet wet. It may be over this year but there is always something new being planned at HSPS.
