• Examination is something that is important from time to time.

• With 2012 approaching it is a good time to examine.

• In our lessons today we want to notice some underlying issues that could hinder us from achieving our goals.

Seek First the Kingdom of God

•Matthew 6:33• This is the key to everything• Kingdom – means the

dominion of a king (ruler)• Ours is a spiritual kingdom – Jn. 18:36, Lk. 17:20-21

• It means: Serving God is our greatest priority.

• It means: Serving Him is the FIRST thing we will do.

• Our priority to make Him first!• Life is uncertain - Jas. 4:14, Heb. 9:27

• The FIRST thing we will do. • His apostles understood this – Matt. 4:20-22, 9:9, John 1:35-42

• Do we REALLY take this command seriously?

• What does our conduct say?• When He is first, it will

influence everything we do.

•Matthew 22:37-40• This is the foundation of

obeying God!• “Christian love” (agape) – we

care enough to sacrifice for what is best

• How do we demonstrate this love?

• By keeping His commandments!

• Do we take our love for Him seriously?

• Unlike the world? Titus 1:16, Matt. 7:21-23, Lk. 6:46

• Let us resolve that we will truly love God as we should

• Obey Him. Know His will! 2 Tim. 2:15
