Paints, stains & lacquers

All our units are supplied in unpainted natural pine, tullip wood or oak. All units are sanded with a 120 grid sand paper. To improve the visual appearance of our units if pine is used all knots are cut out of the wood used for front frames.

Although we supply our kitchen units in natural wood we can paint, stain, lacquer our units in any Farrow and Ball or RAL colour. Wecanquotetofinishtheexteriororwecanquotetofinishboththeexteriorandthe interior. If you like the grain of the wood to remain visible after painting it willhavetobehandpainted,ifyoupreferasmoothfinishitwillhavetobespraypainted.Interiorfinishingwillalwaysbespraypainted.Wecanofferamatt,gloss,stainandclearlacquerfinishbutourstandardpaintorlacquerfinishisasoftsatin(20%sheen).When you opt to have the units painted and in order to create a contrast you can mixandmatchbetweenpaint,clearlacquerorstaines.Unitsandordoorscanbepaintedinacombinationofcolours,feapaintedexteriorandclearlacquerinterior,wall units in one colour and the base units in another colour.When painting we apply a minimum of 2 base coats and 2 top coats. In order to haveagoodqualityfinishall units are sandedbetweencoats.Unlessknottlesspanels are used, a knott sealer will be used on all the knotts in the panels.
