Wiki?
A Wiki is a private website that can be edited by anyone with access to the site. A Wiki provides a resource that can aid in a learning environment in a number of ways.
Teachers keep students on schedule by posting:
▪Syllabus▪Schedule▪Instructions
Students can submit various kinds of assignments:
▪PowerPoints▪Definitions▪Any individual
work can be displayed to the class
Last but not least
A wiki provides a base for a class to meet around. It can provide a “classroom” for an online class without requiring any assets like a building to meet in.
PB Works is my only experience with a true wiki. We should all know what PB Works is.
I also believe blackboard could be considered a wiki. Wikipedia is a familiar online encyclopedia that can be edited by it’s users, hence the “wiki” in Wikipedia.
