A Modern Solution.
• Metro needed to implement modern solutions for several key IT services (service catalog,
employee onboarding, self service) to provide not only a superior user experience but also to
improve IT productivity thru automation.
• A desired side outcome was to enhance the perception and image of the IT organization which
due to old technology in these areas was not seen as an enabler.
• ServiceNow was an obvious choice and the front runner until Matrix42 stepped in.
Metro
8
Case Studies
• Metro chose Matrix42’s Enterprise Service Management solution for several key reasons:
• ServiceNow is very rigid and cannot be easily adopted to the customers exact context.
Matrix42 clearly showed not only how adoptable the solution is but also how easily Metro
can become autonomous and do these changes on their own.
• The Matrix42 solution is significantly more smoothly integrated with a more user-friendly
interface.
• Clear pricing model with Metro in control of their budget for the next 5 years.
• Matrix42’s chatbot integration into Microsoft Teams.

Fully Managed Infrastructure• As part of an IT system revamp FAYAT sought a next generation PC infrastructure management
solution that could be scaled to cover the approximately 10,000 workplaces in use throughout
the Group. The solution would have to accommodate the complexity of the Group’s IT
infrastructure, offer a complete functional scope encompassing technical and administrative
workplace management and support the global distributed nature of the organization.
• In addition three more key items needed to be addressed:
• Reduced IT and end user workload by introducing standards
• Process automation
• Achieving Software compliance
Fayat
12
Case Studies
• Fayat reviewed many potential solutions over a 6-month period & settled on 3 finalists. These
were subjected to testing under real conditions, which focused on the distribution of
applications, technical escalations, and inventories.
• At the end of this in-depth testing, Matrix42 was selected for rollout throughout the entire FAYAT
Group.
• To quote Thierry Tellier, Deputy Head of IT Operations:
“Matrix42 allows us to easily implement any work environment from scratch, no matter
what the required configuration may be. The solution enables us to apply updates and
security patches and lends us a great deal of agility to make all the changes that may be
necessary throughout the lifecycle of each user’s workplace,”

Critical Services
• Due to their rapid growth DHR’s old segmented systems could not keep up with the high
standard of care required for their patients. Management of devices & requests for services
were difficult to manage and track resulting in not only reduced productivity but also risks of
services not being carried out in a timely enough manner in this very time critical environment.
• DHR began searching for a flexible unified solution that could satisfy not only the needs of IT but
also of the end user clients who valued streamlined & easy operations very highly.
DHR
16
Case Studies
• DHR was very diligent & meticulous in reviewing all options solutions available. While several
were interesting none were able to demonstrate the flexibility required of the unique
environment and strong need for ease of use. That is until they reviewed the Matrix42 solution.
• Ultimately, DHR chose Matrix42 for a few key reasons:
• Other solutions simply were not flexible enough to not only support the varying different
types of services which they needed to provide & track but also the ease with which
Matrix42 allows DHR to customize workflows etc. allowing them to be self-sufficient.
• The significant level of integration between the different components of the Matrix42
solution stood out along with the streamlined user interface and process.

Free Is Not Always the Best Choice• RENA needed a new solution for managing clients and mobile devices as the experts
responsible for the old solution where no longer part of the company.
• As Microsoft Enterprise Agreement partners it was obvious to take a closer look at the free
Microsoft solution, SCCM; but this solution posed some limitations to future expansion.
• The Unified Endpoint Management bundle from Matrix42 comprises the Empirum Client
Management Tool for software administration and delivery and the integrated OS Installer
interface, as well as, the Silverback tool for management of mobile devices (iOS & Android).
• The package also comes complete with interfaces to the Matrix42 service management
functions, particularly the Service Desk, but also the service catalog as well as license, asset,
and contract management.

Free Is Not Always the Best Choice• Ultimately, RENA chose Matrix42’s Unified Endpoint Bundle instead of SCCM for two main
reasons:
• Ease of handling multiple device types and operating systems
• Value of integrated modules
• To quote, Michael Schonhardt, Head of IT, RENA Technologies:
“The ‘module system’ is a great advantage of the Matrix42 software. This way we don’t
need any third-party tools or related interfaces. The individual components can be
implemented step by step, enabling full technical integration within a standard solution.”

Protect production & research• The client gathers large volumes of data on prototype and test cars during their development
including test drives etc. They needed a solution to protect this research data against theft.
• For example, in autonomous driving projects, a computer from the engineers of other
companies is installed in the test vehicles. These computers store data on external USB
devices. Among other things, the trips are recorded by camera. After the test drive, the all of this
data including the recordings must no longer be accessible on the same system, but only on the
engineers' computers.
• Additionally, the client needed to protect its various machines across many production facilities
(including Poznan) from unwanted hardware and any malicious code being placed on them.
• For both of these several competing solutions were considered.

Protect production & research• Ultimately, the client chose Matrix42’s EgoSecure solution over the competition for several
reasons:
• Our solution runs in Windows safe mode with changes immediately transferred and taking
effect
• Our provision of the Logon As function, where the user does not have to be logged off and
on to Windows to change rights.
• The ability to encrypt on-the-fly the key sensitive data ensuring that only authorized users
have access.
