Χρησιμοποιούμε τον Simple Past για πράξεις που έγιναν στο παρελθόν σε συγκεκριμένη χρονική στιγμή.

ΚΑΝΟΝΕΣ ΟΡΘΟΓΡΑΦΙΑΣ
Συνήθως προσθέτουμε –ed
στο τέλος του ρήματος
Αν το ρήμα τελειώνει σε –e , βάζουμε μόνο –d.
Αν το ρήμα τελειώνει σε σύμφωνο + y,
φεύγει το -y και μπαίνει –ied.

τελειώνει σε σύμφωνο-φωνήεν-
σύμφωνο, διπλασιάζουμε το τελευταίο σύμφωνο και βάζουμε –ed.
Διπλασιάζουμε το τελευταίο σύμφωνο ακόμα κι όταν το ρήμα έχει 2 συλλαβές αρκεί να τονίζεται στο τέλος.
Αν το ρήμα τελειώνει σε –
l ,διπλασιάζουμε το –l και
βάζουμε –ed.
