TrainsFlinders Street Station, on the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets, is a major hub for Melbourne’s train network. Trains operate daily until midnight, with extended hours to around 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. There are 16 di�erent train lines servicing Melbourne suburbs, many of these lines are linked to tram or bus services.
TramsTrams travel along many of Melbourne’s major thoroughfares. Services operate daily until midnight with extended hours to around 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. Tram route numbers and destinations are displayed at the front of each tram and timetable information is available at tram stops.
BusesMelbourne’s bus network has over 300 routes transporting people across Melbourne’s suburbs. Passengers should indicate their intention to board a bus by raising their arm as it approaches the stop. After midnight, NightRider bus services travel from the city centre to Melbourne’s suburbs between 1.30am–4.30am on Saturdays and 1.30am–5.30am on Sundays.
Free City Circle TramThese historic W-class trams (Route 35) travel a circular route around the perimeter of the city centre passing many major attractions, and linking to other tram, train and bus routes across Melbourne. The service runs Sunday to Wednesday 10am to 6pm, and Thursday to Saturday 10am to 9pm. No services run on Christmas Day or Good Friday.
Melbourne Visitor ShuttleA great way to see many of Melbourne's attractions. Board the bus at any one of the 13 stops at key city destinations. The shuttle service runs between 9.30am and 4.30pm daily (except Christmas Day and Good Friday). A round trip takes approximately 90 minutes and includes on-board commentary. Note from 1 October 2013, a daily pass on the shuttle will cost $5, except for children under the age of 10 who will travel free. Walking & CyclingThroughout Melbourne there are trails speci�cally designed for walking, running and cycling. Follow a heritage walking trail through the city streets, cycle along the Maribyrnong and Yarra Rivers, use the bike path along the foreshore from St Kilda or experience the cultural and architectural elegance of Albert Park, South Melbourne, Toorak, South Yarra and Richmond. Melbourne Bike ShareMelbourne Bike Share provides an a�ordable transport alternative for travel around Melbourne. To use Melbourne Bike Share, simply rent and return bikes at any of the 50 bike share stations operating across the city. CityLink TollwayCityLink is a 22 kilometre automated tollway which connects the Tullamarine, West Gate and Monash freeways. Eastlink TollwayEastLink is a 39 kilometre automated tollway which connects the Eastern, Monash, Frankston and Peninsula Link freeways.

How to get aroundInner Melbourne
The Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square is a one-stop-shop for visitors providing information on Melbourne and Victoria: brochures and maps; what’s on in the city; souvenirs; plus a travel booking service. Open daily from 9am to 6pm (closed Christmas Day).
Melbourne Visitor Booth in the Bourke Street Mall Friendly volunteers at the Melbourne Visitor Booth provide free maps and information on shopping, attractions and events in Melbourne. Open daily from 9am to 5pm (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day).
City Ambassadors dressed in their distinctive red uniforms provide a mobile information service in the city. Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm, Sunday noon to 3pm (excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day).
Melbourne Greeter Service Free multilingual walking orientations of the city, conducted by trained volunteers. Orientations are conducted in English daily at 9.30am from the Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square (excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day). Bookings are essential, phone 9658 9658 on weekdays and 9658 9942 on weekends or visit melbourne.vic.gov.au/greeter.
