Shot types

Extreme long shot

Extreme long shot is used for views of landscapes or buildings. It might also be the point of view of a character looking out over a vista.

Long shot

Long shot shows a character or a building at some distance away from the camera the character will be dominated by his/her surroundings

Extreme close up

Extreme close up is used to show important detail the characters gesture or moment of contact between characters

Close up

Close up is a shot of a persons head and shoulders not much background appears in the picture its used to catch the characters emotional response

High angle shot

Is used to show that someone is being watched from above or is alone.

Low angle shot

Low angle shot shows that the character is looking down towards the floor or object.

Medium shot

Shows the character waist up wards so you can see see him emotions and reactions
