1—We welcome you today to our church. Our hope is this worship experience will be both memorable and life-changing. Please join us as we prepare for the soon coming of Jesus Christ! 2—The Women Ministry Department will meet January 19, 2019 at 10:00 am at 200 Lamar St. in downtown Jackson to distribute care packages to the Women’s Homeless Shelter. Afterwards, we will travel to Stewpot Kitchen to feed the homeless. All interested women are ask to attend & make somebody's day brighter in 2019! 3—Pastor Kennedy Luckett is looking for someone who can sit with his mother in Canton, 3-4 days a week. Duties to include helping with taking medication, serving meals and light house-keeping. Please call Pastor Luckett at 502-500-1769 for more information. 4—Funeral services for our member Bro. Tony Bealer are scheduled for Thursday, January 10, 2019 @ 11:00 am at Willis & Sons Funeral Home, 5235 Robinson Road, Jackson. Please continue to keep the Bealer and Carter families in your prayers. 5—Visitation for the late Elder Earsley Young will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Scott Memorial Funeral Home in Yazoo City. The funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 @ 11:00 am @ the L.T. Miller Community Center in Yazoo City. Elder Young was a member of the Lintonia Chapel SDA Church. Please keep our former members, Sis. Verena Spivey & Sis. Edith, and Sis. Shon-dolyn Richardson in your prayers on the passing their father along with other family members. 6—Condolences are extended to the family of Mrs. Doris Marie Clark Smoots of Vacaville, Ca, who passed. She was a member of the Berean and Canton SDA churches from 1972 until 1985 and sang in the Voices of Faith along with her older brother Milton Bealer and younger brother, Jessie James Clark, Jr. Please keep the Bealer, Smoots, Clark and the Carter families in your prayers during this time of bereavement.

A N N O U N C E M E N T S C O N ‘ T 7—E. E. Rogers SDA Academy is seeking a Financial Consultant Description: The person will be responsibility for all accounting related function of the school’s daily operations. This includes responsibility for, but not limited to, accounting, finance, payroll, record keeping, billing for services, payment to vendors, handling of deposit, monthly reconciliation, generating financial statement using Quick book and assist with creating annual school budget reports. Preparation of monthly statements for reporting to the Finance Committee and School Board is also an essential function of this position. Additional duties may be assigned to facilitate a rich educational experience for the students upon a contractual agreement between the said parties. Fees are based on contractual agreement. Experience/Education/Skills: Minimum Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting plus additional training in computer applications, five years of experience in for profit or non-profit accounting. You must have independent skills in designing a software system (Quickbook, Peachtree, etc.) to implement and run the schools accounting system. The individual will need to create the accounting system, have the willingness and the ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand format in both small and large settings. Must be committed to Jesus Christ, the beliefs and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have a desire to serve others with a cooperative, spiritually-filled attitude.
