Security Self Protection—The Immediate Recall High-Stress Combative Program focuses on transmitting the following skills
in a short-duration/high retention training format: The focus is upon using a Tactile Method of contact triggering Nervous Sys-
tem Defensive Responses which lock-up attackers’ mind like hitting the keyboard too many times locks up a computer
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention—With a core philosophy of providing Care, Welfare, Safety and Security of every-
one involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies give human service providers and educators skills to
safely respond to various levels of risk behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care.
Legal Authorities/Effective Communications—Security Operatives may be called upon to exercise a variety of legal
authorities of arrest, detention, search, seizure, inspection, use of force, Charter of Rights and Freedoms, etc. This ses-
sion will review the sources and extent of such authorities and the legal confines within which they may be exercised.
Diversity, Inclusion & Intercultural Competence—Discussing diversity and inclusion challenges each of us to man-
age differences in values, beliefs and assumptions about human nature. These differences can sometimes make it diffi-
cult for people to learn from each other.
Response to Emergency Situations—Security Operatives are expected to react to the unexpected, to minimize the neg-
ative impact caused by emergency situations occurring at the work site. They may be called upon to perform a myriad
of duties throughout disaster or emergency situations
Mental Health First Aid—Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental
health problem or in a mental health crisis. The First aid is given until appropriate professional treatment is received or
until the crisis is resolved.

I would like to nominate SG Janusz Zawierucha from sheridan Trafalgar campus. Janusz is always early for shift start, most times starting to help out before his shift begins. Janusz is always keeping busy well at work patrolling with various vehicles or issuing tickets in parking areas. I have observed numerous occasions where he is ask to perform an extra duty not even in his scope of a parking guard and Janusz always answers with no problem. Janusz then will perform the task at hand quickly with a smile always on his face. So please take SG Janusz Zawierucha to consideration for employee of the month.

I also wanted to say thank you. The team did an excellent job Saturday! We really appreciated all the effort put in, to ensure that we had appropriate coverage and that each guard understood their role. It was great that you and Haik were here to ensure that the team was here! and that they performed their duties. Matthew was great too. Really pleased that he was able to work the event and then volunteered to stay late with some of the other guards to ensure that everything went smoothly at LinX. And things did run smoothly!! I was really proud of our team!

I wanted to bring forward and recognize two of your security guards for an outstanding job; Security Dispatcher Cindy Robertson and Security Operative Matthew Katerberg. On Monday September 19th, I was moving some equipment in our Police Foundation Fitness Facility when I broke my nose. I was escorted to security where I met Cindy and Matthew. They must both be praised for their level of professionalism and quick think-ing during this medical incident. I appreciate their assistance.
Program Coordinator/ Professor
Good morning,
I would like to take the time to recognize Harkirat Singh for his amazing work while working at Primary Response. He always en-
courages guards and coaches them when necessary. He never complains when asked to do other tasks aside from his mandatory mo-
bile runs. He is well spoken and has a positive attitude. His deportment is outstanding and is an example for others to follow. I
want him to know to keep up the great work and a job well done.
Thanks & Regards,
Mobile Dispatch Supervisor
Good afternoon
In our business we find too often that people rarely take the time to acknowledge when a good job is done or when there are good
people.
Today I am writing for that very reason. It is in regards to Anita Rana in your scheduling department.
She is such a happy, respectful and most importantly helpful person. Each time I call her she always answers with a smile/giggle and
responds to my queries immediately.
Anita represents Primary Response in a very positive manner.
We have had some ups and downs here at JCM but I can honestly say that the “team” which includes Richard and Greg along with
Anita has been a great team and I am very grateful for them all.
Greetings!
I wanted to take a moment to share with you the very appreciated actions of one of the concierges we have on staff here at One City
Hall, Dave Haddleton.
It was past midnight and I was suffering quite badly from food poisoning. Among other things, I was experiencing extremely painful
abdominal cramping and I could barely stand. But as I had no medicine to help me I had to get dressed and try to make it to a 24
hour pharmacy.
As I made my way through our lobby in the middle of the night, Dave saw me visibly struggling and asked if I needed help. When I
mentioned that I had food poisoning and needed to get some Gravol, Dave immediately ran back to his knapsack and pulled out an
unopened bottle of Gravol. He handed it to me and told me to keep it until I felt better. He wouldn't even take any money for it.
As a result I didn't have to venture out in such a vulnerable state. I went back home, took the Gravol Dave gave me, and the ab-
dominal pains as well as all the other food poisoning symptoms subsided.
Dave Haddleton has always been a very professional stand-out concierge in his many years with us, and I continue to be grateful for
all his hard work during this time. I am also so very thankful for his kindness and care in my time of need.
We are all very lucky to have him here at One City Hall.
Sincerely,
Owner & Resident
