THE CHURCH VIS ITOR
Two More Weeks
On September 20th we will have our second Back to Church Sunday since I arrived here. Last year I think we had 99 for our service and this year we are praying and believing for 150 plus. What an increase that would be! But this means all of us will have to work together towards this goal. Our sermon series on evangelism provided some information and tools to help us be more effective in sharing our faith. But now it’s in our hands to choose to reach out to those around us, share our faith, and our love for this Body of Christ. Invite someone to church because we love God and care about others who do not know Christ. It is also fellowship Sunday so they can also look forward to a great meal as well. Who wouldn’t want that? To move forward and to grow, we must let sharing God’s love become a vital part of our present and future life as a church. To tell the world of what Jesus has done is the great mission of the church.
FYI: We have added 18 new members to our church since 8/17/14. God is at work in this place!
Helping Hands
There are several projects we want to get done here at the church ASAP and we need your help. Several rooms need to be painted and it would be far easier if a group of us undertook the projects. Also, don’t forget Sunday evening, Sept. 13, at 6:30 pm, we are planning on moving some of the furniture throughout the church to get ready for carpet cleaners that are coming on Monday. Please let the office or Pastor Paul know if you can help in either of these projects.
FYI for Everyone
Since the bulletin board was removed from the entrance near the office, the most recent financials as well as Board & Cabinet minutes have been harder to find. At our next Board meeting on Sept. 13, we will come up with a strategy that will help us provide the most current information we have to everyone. Thanks for your patience.

Sharing Her Story through Technology
Laura Crain, one of our newest members, used a 21st century method (Facebook) to share about our church. That says a lot about the Body of Christ here at RHCC.
Share your story. Ok, here it is. For our entire marriage, Richard and I sought a church home that met the needs of our diverse faith stories. We searched and searched. We got discouraged. We gave up several times and just quit trying for awhile. A little more than a year ago, we applied for membership at a church we both liked. We were denied membership for not "fitting into" their requirements. My heart broke and I wondered if we would ever really feel like we were home with God's family ever again. Then we tried a church that wasn't even on our radar, it had nothing that we had "wanted" when we made our list of church qualities we thought we needed. Within five minutes, we knew we were home. What you think you want is not always what God has in store-what He has is always more. And we have been given more than I ever imagined. Family in every sense of the word-faith, hope, love, and fellowship that was beyond my expectations. If you are searching for a home to come home to, please join us at Richland Hills Christian Church. You will be welcomed, you will be valued, treasured, and encouraged. Back to church Sunday is September 20th, but you don't have to wait!!! Join us any Sunday at 10:30.

“Most of us spend most of our lives accumulating the wrong things. We’ve bought into the consumerist lie that more is more. We mistakenly think that the more we give, the less we will have. But in God’s upside-down economy, our logic is backward. You ultimately lose whatever you keep and you ultimately keep whatever you lose for the cause of Christ.”
