• Current Operations –• Developing staffing plans for special needs shelters, regional

evacuations, and contraflow operations.• Preparing for response to impacted areas

• Unmet Needs –• Awaiting access to database or hard copy of information to identify

locations of all special needs shelters, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and assisted living facilities in the State of Florida. This information will assist ESF 8 in pre-designation of available shelter space and bed availability.

• Future Operations –• Assembling and briefing overhead and response teams, developing

and deploying health care assessment teams, USAR

Human Services

Human Services • Current Operations –

• Coordinating with ARC and TSA on the Mass Care requirements for storm of this magnitude.

• ARC and TSA are preparing to bring in facilities to dispense 1 million meals per day.

• ARC currently has on hand 150 ERVs and has 32 kitchens coming into Valdosta for prepositioning; 40 more ERVs are on the way from the western states.

• USDA has authorized the schools to use their food to feed shelter population.

• Inventory of state and local warehouses storing USDA food has been completed.

• Working with US Army Corps of Engineers to determine water and ice requirements.

• 200 trucks of water and 200 trucks of ice are propositioned for deployment.

state facilities report they are full.
