together these important core values and facilitates trouble-
free and efficient manufacturing processes.
Many sensors offer the best technically feasible and practi -
cal solutions. From the world's smallest inductive sensor to
factor 1 technology. From colour sensors to monitoring
smooth running; and yet they are very competitively
priced.
These products are naturally fully coordinated with
products and services from Festo.
Proximity sensors, position transmitters and connection technology
This range began with a proximity switch in Festo’s portfolio
of sensors which was optimally coordinated for use with
pneumatic drives. New variants and completely new function -
alities were created on the basis of this stable and successful
platform. The analogue position transmitter was a logical
development.

Pressure and vacuum sensors
Efficient and reliable pressure and vacuum monitoring and
control combined with flow monitoring are of the utmost im -
portance when pneumatic systems are used for automation.
They broaden the range for which systems can be used, offer
more safety and also provide the option of remote mainte-
nance and monitoring. Quick and simple to operate thanks
to the uniform control and display concept utilised with all
of Festo’s pressure sensors.
Flow monitoring provides simpler diagnostic and condition
monitoring processes: A change in the flow rates is often an
indicator that problems are likely to occur. Areas of applica-
tion: Detection of very small particles, acceptance inspec-
tions of components with sensitive surfaces, acceptance
records, functional monitoring, leak testing, checking to
ascertain that an item is in position.
Pressure and vacuum switches SDE5
For low-cost, simple and fast compressed
air, regulation and vacuum detection and
object detection via back pressure.
