Screen Shots Of Front Page, Contents and Main Article

By Priya De Silva 12M

Front Cover Screen Shots

I had experimented with different fonts to find the right font for my master head. I had chosen Viper Nora as my font for the master head and used Capture It and Social Animal on the front page, contents and main article.

Creating Front PageThis is the screen shot of my blank front page which is just only fonts and the grid shown was to help put my fonts in line and look neat. The plain shot is showing what my front cover looks like without the front image and the fonts.

Images Used For Front Page

This image is being used on my front page and I chose this as they are the feature of my main article and the photo is well posed and taken. This photo on my front page is black and white.

Front Cover

This screen shot is of my front cover which is completed with a barcode, price, main mages, main cover line, sell lines, puff and master head.

Changes To Front Cover I have made some small changes to

my front cover including adding a stroke layer to my main cover line and the sell line to make it bold, eye catching and to attract the audience.

Contents PageThese are the images being used on my contents page. I have used the image on the front page and all the pictures on the contents are also black and white to refer to the front page.

I had then used photonotes.net to turn the photos into Polaroid’s and then used it on my contents page and main article

Contents PageThis is the screen shot of my contents page without images. I have used the text from the master head and a new font for the introduction to the magazine, page numbers, page headings and synopsis. I have also added the date and colour scheme is still the same to the front cover.

Contents Page

I had used this website to turn my photos into Polaroid’s and I uploaded the photo’s and it turned into the Polaroid's as you can see and you can add text and change the saturation of the photo- I had changed it to black and white.

Contents PageAs you can see this is the screen shot of the photo used on my contents page. You can see the different types of fonts used, colour, saturation, resize and positioning of the photo.

This is the final screen shot of my contents page. I have added the images and they are in Polaroid's and I have added the page numbers and a quote or synopsis to the images. I have added a stroke layer to all the images to make them stand out and all the images are in black and white to refer back to the main image on the front cover.

Main Article

These are the 6 images I am going to use in my main article and they will be turned into Polaroid's.

Main ArticleHere is the screen shot of my Main Article the first page and you can see its only has the main cover line taken from the front page and the text has been copied from the article I had wrote on word. The text and the page number is the same font which is Smallfonts and the text is size 10.5 and the page number size is 36. I had used the colours same to the front cover to show the magazines colour scheme.

Main Article

I had stuck to the blue to represent Big Bang Monthly and the black to represent Diplomat’s Son. I had also used red to show the page numbers clear and have also used the Polaroid pictures. I had also added a gradient to make sure the page was not blank and to attract the audience more by using blue.

Adding The Gradient

I have shown a sample screen shot of how I used the gradient tool on Adobe Photoshop which was used on my main article.

Main Article As you can see this is the second page of my main article the text and the page number are the same as before.

Main ArticleThis is the final screenshot of my second page for my main article. You can see I have changed the font colour to represent Big Bang Monthly and Diplomat’s Son. I have also added the Polaroid’s and the page number. The gradient this time has stayed the same but I have positioned the gradient in the top right corner.
