Awards are effected by EFC as well as other educational resources including

fellowships and scholarships

Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans annual maximum of $20,500

Direct Graduate PLUS Loan

Graduate Texas Public Education Grant

Texas Aggie Graduate Grant (TAGG). Apply for TAGG via

financialaid.tamu.edu under “Forms”

Release of Funds

Financial aid can apply to the billing statement no

sooner than 10 days before the first class day each

semester, dependent upon your

enrollment/registration.

Loan Entrance Counseling not complete

Loan Master Promissory Note not complete

Not enrolled in enough hours at Texas A&M

Half-time = 5 hours

Full-time = 9 hours

Scholarship funds not received from donor

Short-term Loans

Do not need a FAFSA to apply

8% simple interest

1-12 month repayment period

$1000 - $1500 maximum

Emergency Tuition and Fees loan also available

5% simple interest

90 days repayment (fall/spring)
