HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The hydraulic system is a four-pump “dedicated” pump system designedto minimize power consumption by precisely matching pump pressure andflow to load conditions. All major functions are controlled through manualor electrical operated, pressure compensated direction control valves.

AIR COMPRESSOR
The air compressor system consists of a hydraulic pump,motor, rotary screw type compressor and a vertical air/oilreceiver tank with oil separator. The axial piston pressurecompensated pump delivers full flow when the full capacityof the compressor is being used.
As less air is used, the pump automatically delivers less flowto the compressor motor until at the point where no air isused, the compressor is practically stalled and the pump isoperating at greatly reduced horsepower.

STRUCTURAL
The mainframe is fabricated of high strengthlow alloy tubing (ASTM A500 GR B). Thisstructure provides appropriate strength and
rigidity, while maintaining ease ofmanufacture and repair.
No special welding procedure is required forfield repair and or modification. Track
frames are formed channel construction,using mild steel.

All these features plus the cab is specially mounted so those hydrauliccylinders can swing and tilt the complete unit. The cab swing of 480
and tilt of 300 gives the 5000 Series Hydraulic Track Drill a minimumtransport width of 8’-7” (2.62 m) with a swing out location thatproduces maximum driller visibility and and boom coverage.
This unique cab design features all the comforts and conveniences toassist in making the 5000 Series Hydraulic Track Drill the mostproductive rigs on the market.

The operators station is standard on all models of the 5000Series Hydraulic Track Drill. This console contains controlsfor both the tramming and boom functions. On the models5000C and 5000CL, which have complete cab-mountedcontrols, this station serves as a secondary position tomanually control both the tramming and boom functions.

DUST COLLECTING SYSTEM
The Dust Collector incorporates the latest in dust collector technology.The unit features six (6) filter elements, each in its individualcompartment, for a total of 456 square feet (42 m2) of filter area. Theelements filter media is a water-resistant phenolic paper. A built–inseparator directs heavy particles away from the filter elements and downinto the discharge hopper.
The electronic timer allows adjustmentof the purging pulse frequency andduration. Indicator lights for each filterprovide proof of the purging air valveoperation and purging pulse length.
The system incorporates an operatorsmultifunction control switch, a hydrauliccontrol valve, a hydraulic gear pump,6” suction hose, a hydraulic cylinderpowered pick up pot and a feedmounted precleaner.

MODEL HUFH-12 HYDRAULIC POWERED CHAIN FEED
An axial piston hydraulic motorthrough a planetary gearreduction powers this HUFH-12 heavy-duty chain feed.
The mast selection is made oftwo (2) 7” high strength, steelchannels which are gussetedand reinforced the full length,forming a strong assemblywhich resists both torsionaland thrust loading.
The HUFH-12 has sufficient travel to change a 12’ (3.6 m) drill rodinside the centralizer when using the HPR2-C Rock Drill. The feedcomes complete with a drill mounting slide fitted with replaceablewear strips, 120H, 1 ½” pitch roller chain and sprockets, hose reel,hydraulic powered centralizer, a hydraulic powered dust collectorpick up pot, a compressed air powered coupling greaser and asimple manual pendulum inclinator.
