Alex Alexander is a session drummer, percussionist, producer, composer, DJ, inventor,and World Record Holder. Joe Davidian earned his Master’s degree in Jazz Piano Performance in 2005, and since hasbuilt a notable jazz career in NYC. In 2019, Joe won the prestigious Jacksonville Jazz PianoCompetition, and recently, his trio, The Lost Melody, released an album of originalsentitled “New Songs for Old Souls.”
Gina Drangel is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, whereshe received her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance. In 1995, she made her opera debutas Sophie in the world premiere opera “The Village”, composed by Joel Mandelbaum andwritten by Susan Fox. She has extensive oratorio experience and has sung with variousopera companies in New York City. She currently works as a Senior Accountant/Asst.Payroll Manager for Empire State Development. She is thrilled to have the opportunity toperform this evening amongst the RTFH family.
Alan Gordon is a lyricist, librettist, and author. His musical theater work has beenproduced or workshopped off-off-Broadway and across the country. His accolades includethe Kleban Prize; Larson Grant Finalist, 2018-2019; Eugene O’Neil Musical TheaterConference Finalist, 2019 and Citation for Special Merit from the Academy for NewMusical Theater.
Rabbi Mark Kaiserman appeared in many shows when he was growing up. He still lovesmusical theater but knows he is not a professional musician. Much appreciation foreveryone’s patience and support as he does his best.
Bonnie McAlvin is resident flutist at RTFH. She is a composer and plays principal flutewith Ureuk Symphony at Merkin and Carnegie Halls. She won the National FluteAssociation’s convention performer competition in 2011. Her music was included in therecently-released album, “Ultraviolet”, produced by four-time Grammy-winning AndreasMeyer.
Cantor Emily Wigod Pincus is joyfully serving her second year at the Reform Temple ofForest Hills. Cantor Pincus studied voice at Manhattan School of Music and at La EscuelaSuperior de Canto in Madrid and received a BA in Comparative Literature from BrownUniversity. A former opera singer, she has sung with Tulsa Opera, El Paso Opera, SarasotaOpera, and New Jersey Opera Festival, among other companies.
Upon ordination from the School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College JewishInstitute of Religion, Cantor Pincus served Har Sinai Temple in Pennington, New Jerseyfrom 2008-2011, She was then honored to serve Temple Beth El in Hillsborough, NewJersey for the following eight years. She gives thanks for her wonderful husband, Drew,and between them they share the blessings of three children: Alexie, Bennett andNathaniel.
Ella Rosenblatt is a singer, songwriter, and pianist. Currently, Ella is a freshman andattends Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts as a vocalmajor. She started taking singing lessons in kindergarten, piano in first grade, and startedsongwriting in fifth grade. She has a huge passion for music and hopes to pursue a careerin that field in the future.
Luca Soul Rosenfeld is a double bassist born and raised in Forest Hills, NY. A son of apainter and a bass baritone singer, he began studying music early in life, starting at TheChurch in the Gardens. He then continued studying music at The Frank Sinatra School ofthe Arts and The New School.
Joy Son holds an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing (NYU), an M.A. in Composition (NYU),and a B.M. in Composition (Ewha Womans University). Her shows have been produced inSouth Korea, Japan and the USA. Her accolades include Larson Grant Finalist, 2018-2019and O’Neil Musical Theater Conference Finalist, 2019.
Toni Szilagi has performed roles with LOOM (Light Opera of Manhattan), DiCapo Opera,NY Renaissance Festival Opera, Young Audiences New Orleans (Jazz Fest, NatchezRiverboat), Musica da Camera and NY Dinner Theater. She appeared off-Broadway in "AStoop on Orchard Street". Her credits include voice-overs, TV, film (Stags) and the musicvideo "Tears Remix" (public service).
Virginia Weiner is a graduate of Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre School and UNC-Chapel Hill, where she majored in musical theatre and performance studies. She nowworks in financial aid at NYU but renews her Actors’ Equity membership each year in caseshe ever goes back!
