SAT National Administration Voucher Registration

Session Goals

Voucher Eligibility • A student is eligible to use a voucher to take the SAT on the March 9th national test date if he or she is an 11th grade student attending a public school in Colorado and meets one of the following criteria:

• Attends an online school full-time which is unable to establish a secure testing site; or

• Is unable to take the college entrance exam on either of the Department-designated school dates due to religious holidays; or

• Is unable to take the college entrance exam on either of the Department-designated school dates due to conflicts with legitimate instructional, curricular, or other activities, as determined by the Department.

• Homeschooled students are not eligible for the Colorado SAT. Contact CDE for more information.

• Vouchers do not apply to PSAT 10 or PSAT 8/9

Vouchers• Vouchers will arrive in schools by

early December.

• The Vouchers provide a unique payment code for students to use during registration.

• Schools should add the school’s 6-digit Attending Institution (AI) code and the student’s 10-digit State Assigned Student ID (SASID) number on the voucher for use during registration.

Information Students Need to Register

• To register students will need:

• A College Board Student Account

• A voucher code, their school’s AI code, and the student’s SASID number

• A Local Test Center (the location where the student will be taking the exam on the national test date; this may or may not be the same as the student’s school of attendance)

• For National Testing, students are required to upload a photo of themselves. The photo will be included on their admission ticket and used with their photo ID during check-in on test day

Voucher Registration Process For Students

Use an Existing College Board Account

• For the student has an account:

• Go to collegeboard.org

• Enter username and password

• Students can recover their username or password if forgotten.

Create a College Board Account

• If the student does not already have one, they will need to create a College Board account by going to collegeboard.org and complete the requested information.

• Students will use their full legal name that matches their school record.

Use an Existing College Board Account

• Once logged in, choose “My SAT”

Registration Process

• Click “Continue” to move forward.

Registration • Complete the required student information fields: name, date of birth, gender

• Use the “Find Your School” link to search for your school of attendance and click “Select” once the correct school is found.

• Enter your expected graduation date and grade level

Registration• Enter mailing and email address.

The email address is used when sending SAT notifications, scores, and anything else the student requests.

• Mobile number is not required. Students can opt-in to receive text messages about a test or program or to participate in research surveys.

• Click “Continue” once all required fields are entered.

Registration• Students can choose to provide optional

demographic information and click “Continue”

Registration• Opt in or out of College Board

services. This is optional.

• Click “Continue”

Registration• Provide GPA/rank information.

This is optional.

• Click “Continue”

Registration• Provide optional information on

Course Work, Activities and College Plans.

• Click “Continue”

Registration• Review Terms & Conditions.

• Select the “I Agree to the SAT Terms and Conditions” checkbox.

• Select “Continue”.

Registration• Select “United States” for

Testing Country. The Test Type and Date will be prefilled.

Registration• Select desired essay option.

• Indicate if approved for accommodations. If unknown, choose “No”. (Schools may be contacted to assist with testing students with certain accommodations.)

• Complete questions for “Fee Waiver” and “Question-and-Answer Service”

*A fee waiver is NOT the same as a voucher.

• Select “Continue”

Registration• Enter the student’s zip code

• Click “Search by Zip Code”

• Click “Select” for the preferred Test Center

• Click “Continue”

Registration• Click “Continue” to confirm your

Test Center Location

Registration• For National Testing, students

are required to upload a photo of themselves.

• The photo will be included on their admission ticket and used with their photo id during check-in on test day.

• Click “Upload Photo” to upload a photo.

• Select location of photo to be used. Ensure photo meets requirements and click “Save Image”

• Click “Continue”

Registration• Students have the option to

purchase official SAT practice materials. This is optional and the cost is not covered by the voucher.

• Free SAT practice is available to all students through the College Board’s partnership with Khan Academy.

• Click “Continue”.

Registration• Review, edit, and

confirm registration.

• Check all student information.

• Confirm essay option.

• Click “Join the Colorado Dept of Education Initiative”

• Enter your voucher number.

• Click “Make Payment” Join the Colorado Dept of Ed Initiative

Registration• Select “I agree with this

information” to confirm your information

• Click “Confirm”

Registration• Student Next Steps

• Print admission ticket prior to test day.

• Verify the test center location.• Send score reports to up to

four colleges/universities for free if requested up to nine days after the test

Check the Completed Registration• Students can review their

registration once complete intheir account.

• Go to “My SAT”.

Monitoring Registrations for Educators

Monitoring• Log into the Educator Reporting

Portal using your College Board Professional Account.

• Coordinators will run the Roster Report and choose “SAT Registration Summary”

• New this year, the report is updated each day.

• Click See Registration Roster

• Contact your DAC, if you need access.

Detailed Roster• Filter by grade and test date

to review students who have registered.

Assisting Students

• Click the “username” link.

• Enter email address to receive username.

• Sign in again.

Forgot Username

• Click the “password” link.

• Enter user name and email address to receive a link to reset password.

• Enter the answer to your security question orrequest an email link with a temporary password.

• Enter a new password

• Click “Reset Password”.

• Sign in again.

Updating Account Information

If student information has changed since they setup their account, students can access “Account Settings” to update information such as:

• Name• Address• Email Address• School Name• Username & Password
