Sandviken

Inbetween the mountain and the waterfront there are areas streching along the coastline from the south to the north.

This perticular area is named Sandviken.

The road that historically connected Bergen with the north has been transformed into a vein for heavy transport vehicles.

This is a road but also a borderline, and it defines the start of a slop-ing space that crawls down to the waterfront.

On the top of the space a line of houses streches as if they were bound to the road following the same direction and inclination.

Being in middle of the space it seems like most of the houses relate out to the open fjord

Coming down to the water-edge it seems like the entire waterline has been commercialised with different industries, varying from small houses to big factories.

There is an area that takes you back in time, its made up by old build-ings from all over Bergen,

a representation of what was once the looks of the city.
