Solving the Global Water Crunch
With only 0.01% of the world’s water available to cover the requirements of six billion people, acces-sibility to clean water is a grave concern. Water re-sources have been further stressed by the world’s highest inefficient water usage record that shows that the world wastes half of the water it uses. At Salcon, we believe in playing a vital role in solving the global water crunch – through our “revitaliz-ing” solutions that produce clean water, increase water usage efficiency, and improve wastewater treatment and recycling processes.
NEWater
Salcon apply the latest technological advance-ments for treatment of secondary effluent to pro-duce NEWater, meeting the stringent water quality requirements.
It utilises the highly crystalline polyvinylidene flu-oride micro-filtration membranes (the latest gen-eration of membranes) followed by reverse osmo-sis employing the world’s first commercial 16-inch reverse osmosis membranes.
With the deployment of these innovative technolo-gies, Salcon successfully built the largest NEWater plant owned by PUB of Singapore.

Industrial wastewater contains high level of chemicals, effluents and toxins which are extremely harmful to humans and the environment. Given its hazardous content, industrial chemical wastewater requires conversion into a form that can be safely released into the environment or recycled or reused.
