The controller unit evaluates the signals of machine safety applications in machines and plants.
With the arbitrarily configurable structure, the inputs can be used for a wide range of functions,
for example as protective door monitoring, emergency stop, or to connect light curtains. A 2-hand
control can also be implemented.
+ SIL 2 or 3 (EN IEC 61508) SILCL 2 or 3 (EN IEC 62061), PL d or e (EN ISO 13849-1) and ETL approval
+ for sensors with 2 N.O. contacts and also suitable for N.O./N.C. contacts

Options
Safety controller unit eloFlex 471EFR... flexible configuration of the inputs and outputs
The internal logic combination of the safety inputs and outputs with AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR,
XNOR permits a high adaptability to the application. The safety outputs can be switched on and off
with a delay of 0.1 to 99.9 s (resolution 0.1 s). Motor contactor auxiliary contacts or an additional
start button can be used for external monitoring. The control outputs of the eloFlex unit can also
be configured. The SILCL 3 / PL e option can be offered at very reasonable cost due to the number
of the safety outputs.

LED distribution
Four safety sensors can be connected directly to the safety control unit. When using the following elobau interfaces, the monitoring can be extended to up to 32 safety sensors. Please take note that when using interfaces, the SILCL or PL level is reduced in some applications. Contact elobau for assistance in making the proper selection:
