Please call the office or go online to register for class and to learn more about scheduling a Baptism.
SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY The church should be reserved as early as possible, before finalizing any other plans. Six months prior to the wedding date, the couple will meet with the Pastor to begin the process of preparation.
MINISTRY TO THE SICK Please inform us when your loved one becomes hospitalized or ill to receive the anointing of the sick .
Amos condemns the complacency of the rich who seek only their own comfort. In his parable about the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus echoes Amos, exhorting those who have to share with those who have not. Self-sufficiency must never blind us to the needs of others. Only in this way do we keep God’s commandments in integrity and in truth.
Stewardship Moment: In today’s Gospel Jesus offers a warning about living selfishly in his parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus. The Rich Man holds sumptuous feasts and dresses in fine clothes. But despite his affluence he does nothing to relieve the painful hunger and debilitating condition of his neighbor Lazarus. He neglects to love his neighbor as he loves himself and is sent to hell for his lifestyle and desire for self-gratification. The Rich Man represents those who spend their money on their own personal pleasures with no regard for sharing their material possessions with the poor and needy in their own neighborhood. Good stewards realize the practical implications of not only loving God, but loving their neighbor as they would love themselves. Who are the less fortunate in our neighborhood? Do we share a portion of
our own blessings with them?

A special thank you to ALL our parishioners for generously supplying items to our St. Vincent de Paul pantry. Currently, we have a joyful abundance of many staples, but are in DESPERATE need of these few key items: spaghetti sauce, pasta, can meats, cereals, peanut butter and toilet paper. While we truly appreciate all generous donations, we respectfully request that members give only these items for now. God bless, St Vincent DePaul and St Vincent DePaul Youth

Anointing Of The Sick Jesus came to heal the whole person, body and soul. In the Church's Sacrament of
Anointing of the Sick, through the ministry of the priest, it is Jesus who touches
the sick to heal them from sin – and sometimes even from physical ailment. His
cures were signs of the arrival of the Kingdom of God. The core message of his
healing tells us of his plan to conquer sin and death by his dying and rising. The
Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of
death to receive the Sacrament. A careful judgment about the serious nature of the
illness is sufficient. When the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is given, the
hoped-for effect is that, if it be God's will, the person be physically healed of
illness. But even if there is no physical healing, the primary effect of the Sacrament
is a spiritual healing by which the sick person receives the Holy Spirit's gift of
peace and courage to deal with the difficulties that accompany serious illness or the
frailty of old age. ~from the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults
Please call the office when a family member
is in need of this Sacrament.
