In 2006 I have made scenic paintings with several materials l ike pastel , oi lpastel , ecol ine, f inel i-
ner, East-indian ink, acryl ic paint and oi lbar. In a way they are imaginary landscapes (not painted
on location). They are references to the feel ing you get when you enjoy a view of the beach or a
view over the meadows. The landscapes are drawn vert ical ly, showing the horizon vert ical ly on
paper. Al l this to prevent me from painting churches and cows. I t had to be abstract so the ob-
server can make its own story from the scenery. I have given the sceneries a wooden frame which
enhances the horizontal image of these paintings.
