The Christian Training Institute has completed another academic year. The final and climacticday was April 20th with a graduation program for eight men who had completed the threcyear course,
Bro. Ralph Harter, veteran missionary working In Kanpur, India, and long-time friend of theRolands, was graduation speaker. He made dear the necessity of maintaining a proper connectionwith the Savior, the source of our spiritual strength. His use of electric fittings and wire willhelp the graduates remember as they go out to serve In God's Kingdom.
The annual farewell dinner was held on May 1. Bro. I. B. Kangaloo, a staff member and pastorof the Railway Area Church, supervised the cooking. Following the dinner a present of four bookswas given to each graduate. Special recognition was also given to the four wives of graduateswho have taken various classes and training.
Since graduation we have been making preparations for the new school year. Our prospectusand admission application form have been revised, mimeographed and sent out. There are prospectsfor a number of new students, especially from an area of Sarguja DIst. where the AustralianChurches of Christ had mission work some years ago. We have also worked out the list of subjectsto teach during the new year. And we have worked out a three-year teaching cycle to be used
SCRIPTURE MEMORIZATION for first-year students.Jean has prepared charts with the verses InHindi. Besides memorizing and quoting versesthey have some lively discussion about meanings,too.
TYPING AND SHORTHAND were two of the vocational subjects taught this year. An Indianteacher was employed for the shorthand, butnone could be found for the typing, so Williamtaught both Hindi and English typing. Regularspeed tests, like this one, were given tomonitor their progress.
BIBLE GEOGRAPHY was taught by William to thesecond and third year students. The Clncln-natti, Ohio, Forest Dale Church of Christ, andother friends in CInclnnattI, sent us a set ofmaps and charts that helped to Improve the
regularly. A new staff member has been called tojoin us.
We are grateful to each of you who has helpedmake this past year a success. Your faithfulfinancial support, prayers and other help havemade It possible for us to serve In India.
There will be additional expenses during thenew year. The salary for the new staff member wlll-be about $50 per month. Scholarship expenses forstudents will be about $20 per month for single men,and about $30 per month for a married couple. Weare expecting a larger group of new students thisyear, so your continued support and extra help areprayerfully requested.

HEALTH AND NUTRITION was another of Jean's
interests. Besides a special class forwomen she gave milk and medicines each morning to the children and nursing and pregnantwomen. She also took care of all the
students' health problems and Injuries.
