Our entire faculty and staff would like to thank all the PSE friends andfamilies for their generous support during our Boosterthon Fun Run! Yourefforts during our two-week campaign raised over $63,000! PSE students andteachers will be “playing in the shade” as soon as we have our shadecanopies installed… and we can’t wait!

It was wonderful to see so many parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends cheering on their PSE Rockets during our Fun Run!The rain didn’t put a damper on our run. In fact, our Rockets got toexperience a Glow Run, which was probably even more fun!

Not only did we raise money for shade during this two-week campaign, butour students also benefited by participating in daily character lessons, supporting our school’s character pillar. This year’s Boosterthon theme wasCastle Quest; an English castle theme all about bravery. The Boosterthon

staff provided all of our students withdevelopmentally appropriate motivationallessons focused on six virtues of a true hero:focus, self-awareness, respect, trustworthiness, creativity, and being a life-long learner. Thankyou for supporting our school and for making“PSE the Place to Be”!

Mr. Barnes and Mrs. O’Connor

Lissa Bramely, Third GradeHi! My name is Lissa Bramley, and I am so excited to be coming to your school! I have been ateacher for nine years. I started teaching in Massachusetts and have taught third, fourth, andfifth grade. I moved to St. John in the Virgin Islands and was going to be teaching there, butthe hurricanes that came through had other plans. Now I am excited to be moving to Char-lotte because I will be teaching third grade with a wonderful group of students, and exploringa new city! I have an eight-year -old Yorkshire terrier named Driscoll. He is a funny little dog,and I love to tell my students stories about him. I also love to be active. Growing up, I was agymnast and got to compete all around the country. I also love to SCUBA dive, ski, run, sail, and hike. I also love to travel. I can’t wait to learn about the fun things you all like to do and Ican’t wait to meet you.
