Junior Scholars is a program many colleges use to
recognize academically outstanding students.
Students who are named Junior Scholars with a college may receive some of the following benefits:
Invitations to Junior Scholars Day on campus (great chance to tour the college) Application fee waivers when you apply to
that college Scholarship opportunities at that college, and Special academic and enrichment activities
while you’re in college
This is an outstanding honor you can add to your resume.
• Each college will set the criteria
for the student to meet.• For example:
• USC-Aiken’s criteria in the past have been – rank in the top 15% of the junior class and involvement in at least 2 extracurricular or community activities.
• Presbyterian’s Criteria has been-rank in Top 10% and test scoresSAT/PSAT 1200/120, ACT 27
HOW DO YOU APPLY TO BE A JUNIOR SCHOLAR?

• Criteria is set by each college
What will I need to do?• Fill out your “Junior Scholar

• You will be screened by a School Counselor based on the criteria set by the college.
• The name(s) of the student(s) meeting the criteria will be submitted to the college.
