MISSION TRIP TO KINGSTON JAMAICA This fall, several members of the Peace and Social Justice Committee are going to Kingston, Jamaica from October 15-21, to serve with the Missionaries for the Poor. We invite you to consider joining us, as we help the Brothers care for the abandoned and disabled people that they house and provide for. They have homes for infants, children, men and women. We also join with the Brothers in their daily prayer life. It is truly a labor of love! There is an option to work in the centers for the first 3 1/2 days and then attend a retreat given by Fr. Richard Ho Lung, returning home on October 23rd. Airfare is usually $450-$550 and we split the cost of an airport limo shuttle. You will also need a passport. For more information, please call Linda Marks 570-594-8671 or Genie Hannon 570-275-1777.

PRAY FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS Please pray for a Christian pastor in Myanmar who is of Muslim background. He was recently told he had 3 days to return to Islam or choose Jesus. His 16 year old daughter was forcibly married to a Muslim man in February. He has been receiving anonymous phone calls indicating his younger daughter is in danger. He has sent her to another village and he has fled to a safe house in the country. He is requesting prayers for himself and his family as well as for the other believers in the villages.
