After years of traveling in search of the next high-growth luxury destina-tion, we became acutely focused on Belize.
The lush jungles with Mayan ruins coupled with pristine beaches and cayes, provide endless exploration opportunities. The
cultural diversity, with a mix of Mestizo, Mayan, Garifuna and beyond, brings a depth of heritage that global travelers truly appreciate. Belize’s natural beauty rivals some of the worlds most sought after playgrounds, and it’s a destination whose time has come. Our first venture in Belize began in 2007 with the launch of Ka’ana Resort. We believed that a luxury boutique experience at the doorstep of Belize’s jungle would attract an emerging class of traveler wanting to explore deeply while living abundantly. This marriage of adventure and hospitality has become a global movement, and our investment of time and passion into Ka’ana has paid off. Now countless friends and family have asked how they can become a part of what we are creating. And so we are delighted to welcome you to Itz’ana Resort and Residences. Named after the Mayan God of day and night, Itz’ana celebrates the contrasts from which it was born: where beach meets lagoon, adventure meets luxury, and the Caribbean meets Latin America. The sleepy coastal village of Placencia is the canvas for our luxury appointed residences. Impeccably designed and crafted in harmony with the local surroundings, the resort and villas pay homage to the soul of Belize.

An ode to the great Caribbean estates of years past, the Great House is a gathering place for family and friends – old and new –to eat, drink, meet (or escape), and relax. With two storeys of vibrant open spaces and private hideaways to explore and discover, the Great House can be experienced many different ways.
Find yourself welcomed into the double height lobby with framed views of the sand and sea, or dining on the Limilia deck and enjoying a private rum tasting in the hidden recesses of The Rum Room. Or perhaps start a new day with sunrise yoga on the roof deck, before whiling the afternoon away in the library and then soaking up the sun and sea breeze with a cocktail on the rooftop bar. Whatever whimsy may strike, the Great House will inspire your story.
Where wayward whimsy is welcome and adventurous spirits return, the Great House is the heart of Itz’ana.

It was a playground for adventurers on holiday – and today, not much has changed. From ancient Mayan ruins, to canopied jungles, to sandy windswept beaches, Belize is a melting pot of adventure, culture and beauty that beckons the curious and wayward spirit. Famous for its biodiversity and distinctive ecosystems, Belize is uniquely untouched and lush, with
adventure and beauty abound. The interior of the country is home to jungles, nature reserves and Central America’s largest cave system; while on the coast, you’ll find excesses of unspoiled beaches, islands and the healthiest reef in the world. A country as rich in history and culture as it is in nature, Belize is a wonderfully kept secret awaiting your discovery.
BelizeMother nature’s best kept secret
Once upon a time, pirates spent their lazy days on the sandy coastline of
Belize, sailing the crystalline blue waters and gallivanting in its tropical
islands and cayes.
