About New Student OrientationNew Student Orientation will provide you withimportant information about Rowan Universityand assist you in selecting your spring term classes.Orientation begins at 8 a.m. and concludes after youregisterforclassesintheafternoon(nolaterthan4:30p.m.).

Newstudentorientationisdesignedforbothfreshmenand transfer students. International Student OrientationOrientation for international students is plannedjointly by the International Center and Office ofOrientation&StudentLeadershipProgramsandwillbe heldWednesday, January 10 - Friday, January 12.International studentswill receivemore informationaboutthisorientationprogramfromtheInternationalCenter.Internationalstudentsdonotneedtoattendthe January 4 New Student Orientation program.Attendanceattheinternationalorientationprogramisrequiredforallnewinternationalstudents.

Frequently asked questionsIs orientation required?Yes, all new students are required to attend anorientation program to learn about importantUniversity resources and policies, even if you havealreadyregisteredforclasses.Ifyouareunabletoattendoneof theon-campusorientationprograms, youcancallourofficeat(856)256-4041forinformationaboutour online orientation option. You must completeorientation (online or in-person) before you registerforfalltermclasses.

I am a readmit. Should I attend orientation?IfyoupreviouslyattendedRowan,youarenotrequiredtoattendorientation,butareencouragedtodosotolearnaboutanypoliciesthatmayhavechangedornewresourcesavailabletoyou.

What if I have already registered for classes?Ifyouhavealreadyregisteredforclasses,weencourageyoutoattendorientationtomeetotherstudentsandlearnaboutcampusresourcesandpolicies.Ifyouhavealready registered for classes, the Peer Referral andOrientationStaff(PROS)willassistyouincompletingothercampusbusiness(suchasplacingyourtextbookorder, getting your RowanCard ID, etc.) in theafternoonwhileotherstudentsareregistering.
