David Cheeseman (Artist), Once Ever After: Twice Removed, Overview of artwork installed during Twice Upon A Time conference, 2014
Three Underlying Principles: • Immersive Praxis: Theory and Practice cannot be
established in separate domains to be ‘unified’ at a later stage. Theory will not ‘contextualise’ artworks; Artworks will not become an ‘example’ of Theory.
• Rigorous and thorough: All researchers must become wholly conversant with their respective disciplines and, in so doing, must make, at the PHD level, a significant and original contribution to the field.
• Impact/Partnership/Network: All research must embrace a 360° outreach re: knowledge production, accessibility and exchange within the University or Institute to which the research is linked, and across both academic and non-‐academic environs locally, regionally, internationally at world-‐class levels.
