THE BRIDGEPORT ARTS FEST SEEKS A QUALIFIED EMCEE. THIS INDIVIDUALWILL SUPPORT THE 2015 BRIDGEPORT ARTS FEST. THE EMCEE WILL REPORT TO ERIN MCDONOUGH, ARTS FEST COORDINATOR, AND WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE ARTS FEST STAGE COORDINATOR DURING THE EVENT. HE/SHE WILL BE RESPONSIBLETHE EVENT. HE/SHE WILL BE RESPONSIBLEFOR THE BOLD SCHEDULE ITEMS TO THE RIGHT DURING THE INDICATED TIME SLOTS.

RESPONSIBILITES  INCLUDE:   -  Introduce  performers   -  Promote  Artists  &  Vendors     throughout  the  day   -  Recognize  all  Sponsors,  City  &  DSSD     Officials     -  Interact  with  &  engage  with  the       audience  &  make  announcements   -  Exude  genuine  enthusiasm  &       support  for  the  Arts  Fest  &  Downtown

The  goal  of  the  Emcee  is  to  inform  and  entertain  the  audience  and  maintain  the  flow  of  the  event.  The  Emcee  will  meet  with  the  Arts  Fest  Planning  Group  at  least  once  before  the  event  to  gain  a  better  understanding  of  the  Arts  Fest  and  become  familiar  with  the  performers,  Artists,  Vendors,  Sponsors  and  activities.  Additional  selection  criteria  include:  professional  qualifitcations,evidenced  past  experience,  availabilty  and  qualifitcations,evidenced  past  experience,  availabilty  and  capacity  to  perform  within  project  timeline  (July  11,  10AM-6PM),  “local-ness”  (Bridgeport,  Region,  Connecticut,  etc.),  and  originality.  We  are  seeking  a  professional  &  energetic  champion  of  Downtown  Bridgeport.

The  Bridgeport  Arts  Fest  is  a  community  celebration  of  local  and  original  art,  artists,  makers  and  performers  that  happens  in  Downtown  Bridgeport  on  McLevy  Green  this  summer  on  Saturday,  July  11,  10AM  -  6PM.  The  Arts  Fest  is  a  FREE  family  friendly-eventopen  to  all.  Last  year’s  attendance  was  over  3,500.  The  Arts  Fest  is  organized  by  the  City  ofBridgeport  and  Downtown  Special  Services  District  and  supported  by  the  local  community.
