Many of the cosmetic products used in our daily life are made of products that we commercialize, that having the proper tretments can guarantee the fulfilment of all international standards for this field. We do have medicinal white oils available, as well as vaselines with the highest purity level, specially design for cream, lotions and makeups.

Packaging Industry

Many waxes formulated with specific additives are used in paper coating for strengthening the internal layer of corrugated cardboard, giving more flexibility and brightness, as well as acting as a moisture barrier. Also, Repsol offers the active packaging, a paraffin specially designed to prevent the spread fo harmful agents and preserve the fruit and vegetables transported, once applied to paper or cardboard boxes. Bitumens and Modified bitumens

Manufactured with polymers, using the company´s own technology, for better performance products. Repsol develops high viscosity modified bitumens, giving the asphaltic mixtures excellent cohesion and durability.

Emulsions and Modified emulsions

Repsol produces cationic and anionic, quick, medium or slow breaking or over-stabilized emulsions, covering all areas of use of these substances. Correct dispersion, mixture and adhesion at room temperature are ensured. The emulsions enable the bituminous binder to be applied cold, thus allowing the process of heating the aggregates and bitumens to be omitted.

Synthetic Pigmented Binders

Multigrade bitumens

It is a special binder which, for the same level of penetration as a conventional bitumen, has reduced thermal susceptibility. The mixtures provide more resistance against the forming of ruts and against distress due to fatigue. Energy is saved in its production an it reduces atmospheric emissions.

Bitumens with Used Tyre Powder

Repsol, aware of the problem of getting rid of used tyres, has developed this range of products which offer greater cohesion and resistance to fatique and plastic deformations.

Repsol, thanks to the joint and innovate effort of Spanish railroad public administration, technological partners and universities, has developed bitumen to be applied in railway construction. The railway structure is built with bitumen based sub-balast as a substitute of granular sub-balast, reducing the arid consumption and making the platform impermeable, increasing the durability of the infraestructure, miniminzing costs and maintenance time, increasing the service and exploitation time.

The asphalt laboratory

The asphalt laboratory-dedicated to the R&D&I of asphalt-based products- is one of the best equipped in Spain. Its main objetive is to obtain innovative products to build safer, more efficient and more environmentally-friendly roads. We have propietary technology that enables us to provide a specific bitumen for every application-depending on the traffic or the weather in the area, for example-as well as bitumens that help decrease the temperature of asphalt and therefore reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
