Profile of Speaker :-

Professor Charbel Jose is ranked amongst the Top#5 most prolific researcher in 'Green Supply Chain

Management' in the world. As one of the pioneers of 'Green Supply Chain Management' in emerging

economies, his innovative research influenced the agenda on sustainable chains in Latin America.

With > 10,500 citations according to Google Scholar, H Index=54, and ranked in the top 2.5% globally for

research impact according to Research Gate score, Professor Charbel Jose‟s interdisciplinary research

focuses on pressing issues regarding sustainable supply chains, such as the role of industry 4.0 in unlocking

sustainability in supply chains, critical success factors for sustainable production, and innovative business

models for the circular economy.

He is currently a Global Chair Professor at Lincoln International Business School (UK). Previously, he was

a Full Professor of Management at the „triple crown‟ accredited (AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS) Montpellier

Business School (MBS) in France, a Top 100 Best Business Schools in Europe. As an Associate Professor at

the USP-University of Sao Paulo, he was one of the youngest academics to be awarded a

„Habilitation/Livre-Docencia‟ to conduct high level research. As an Associate Professor III at UNESP-The

Sao Paulo State University, he was the founder and first director of a new Doctoral Training Program in

Production & Operations Management.

He consistently publishes research articles in first-tier scientific journals, including outlets which top

important rankings. He conducts globally-oriented research, with co-authors from more than ten countries.

Since 2004, he has received 11 awards for “Best Paper” at International conferences.

He has been an Associate Editor of the prestigious Journal of Cleaner Production, Associate Editor of

Sustainable Production and Consumption, and Associate Editor of Modern Supply Chain Research and

Applications. He has acted as an external examiner for the University of Liverpool, IIT (India), University

of Sao Paulo, and Waikato University (NZ).

Program Summary:

With the aim to contribute to the art of research reporting, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management,

(SIOM) Nashik is organizing a talk series Editor‟s Choice - Expert Deliberation from Editors of

International Journals of Repute. Editor's choice event will witness the world's top Editors sharing their

wisdom on Research and Publishing Every Second and Fourth Wednesday via virtual platform.

Professor Charbel Jose was our guest speaker for the webisode. Academicians, Students and Research

Scholars from different institutes, countries actively participated in this session. The session was convened

by Prof. Vandana Sonwaney, Dr.Kiran Karande and Dr. Arunkumar O N and witnessed 141 participants.

The event was conducted through Zoom platform and was live streamed through YouTube.

The session commenced with Prof. Vandana Sonwaney delivering a welcome speech followed by Dr.

Arunkumar O N giving a brief about the event and conveying the gratitude to the Guest and participants.

This was followed by a Key-Note address by our guest delivering on topic- Conducting and publishing

meaningful research.

After delivery of his speech, the keynote presentation was followed by Q&A session where selected

participants asked their questions. Some questions were collected beforehand. The session ended with a vote

1. Was the session beneficial?

According to the response received from 39 people, 79.5% of the people rated the session

with a score of 5 i.e., a decrease of 0.6% compared to Day 8 event of Editor’s choice. We

having able to completely satisfy nearly 80% of our audience for past four events which is

a consistent performance from the team.

2. Conduction of the Event.

According to the response received from 39 people, 82.1%, which a decrease of 7.1%

compared to previous event day (89.2%%), of the people rated the session conducted in

an excellent manner with a score of 5.
