Regional Economic Agenda

•Raise economic growth to 8 percent and double exports as key parts of the effort to wipe out the budget deficit by 2009.

•Increase exports to $52.3 billion by 2006, drive the gross domestic product (GDP) to a growth range of 7 to 8 percent by 2009, and neutralize the fiscal deficit by 2010.

•Investment rate improvement as a percent of GDP to rise to 28 percent in two years from the present 19 percent and added the private sector should cooperate in raising P100 billion in annual incremental spending for infrastructure.
