RAS SERVER Things required for RAS(Remote Installation Server)1->Machine having Windows Server 2003 install in it.2->DHCP Server installed. 3->Logon into the Machine using the Domain ID not the Local id and Password.

How to Install DHCP on Windows Server 2003

1->Start->Control Panel->Add Remove Programs->Add Remove Windows Component in it Select the Following Topics in it.

2->Networking Services ->Details->select dhcp right click on the Server name and Select ->ok->next->finish

3->Then go in Start ->Programs->Administrative tools->DHCP->right click on Server name provided there->select New Scope-next->select next give some Description->next

Give Any IP Address that is not present in your local Area LAN’s Network (Give Any IP Range that is not present on your LAN) -> go to next page it will ask your Subnet IP ->next

It will be helpful l when have any Particular IP Range that should be Excluded the Default Duration is some few seconds

4-> Start ->Programs->Administrative Tools ->DHCP-> Right Click DHCP Server ->select ->Manage Authorized Server->

Authorize ->

Give the IP of the Machine (RIS Server IP) so that the Resolve name can be seen and DHCP Identifies the Machine ->next ->finish

RAS INSTALLATION1->Start->Control Panel->Add Remove Programs->Add Remove Windows ComponentSelect Windows Deployment Service ->

Possibly the windows server 2003 CD is required ->after inserting the cd it will copy all the files->finish

2->Copy the Windows XP all Setup Files in a particular Drive in that machine (or any other Operating System Setup Files that you want other than XP like Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003)

3-> Start ->Programs->Administrative tools->Know See the Option like Windows Deployment Legacy ->

Next->

Select Respond to all Computers Option in that ->

Next -> Now go into start->programs->Administrative Tools->Windows Deployment Services ->

It will ask for the path where actual the XP Image is Stored on the Machine

It will start Copying the Necessary Files Required

After Adding Images of Operating Systems

1->Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Window Deployment Service ->

Select the server name right click the server name ->

Select the Configure Server ->next ->give the path ->next ->select both the Options there

–next->select respond to all Clients->Finish

2->Right Click the RIS Server ->Windows Deployment Services ->Properties ->Boot ->Give the Actual path where the Startrom.com file is located (\XP\I386\Startrom.com)

Change Some Settings in DHCP Server also Start->Programs-.Administrative tools ->DHCP ->Server Options ->Right Click the Server Select ->Configure ->

Select the Following 2 options in that 66(Boot Server Host Name) and 67(Boot Server File Name) give the server name that u have given to the machine and the File name that is (Startrom.com)

Important Changes that should be made in 2 files (You need to have that Files First we have taken it from (10.6.2.9\old bino\ristndrd.sif file)Copy the Files and Paste it in the described Location (path where the XP Setups files are been kept \Setup\English\Images \WINXP\I386\ in these replace the file ristndrd.sif some changes are there in these files that is path and the operating system name & the other file to be Replaced is path where the XP Setups files are been kept \Setup\English\Images \WINXP\I386\templates the (.sif) to be replaced here to with the Same File That have u kept in the above path
