COTEVOS COncepts Capacities and Methods for Testing EV systems and their interOperability within the Smart grid • Main objectives

• Budget, duration and partners

• Project workflow

• Achieved results

• Additional coming results

• Event at ISPRA

Main objective • Establish the optimal structure and capacities to test conformance and

interoperability of all systems involved in the infrastructure for EV charge: Development of harmonized tests and testing procedures

Unified test facilities

General information • Budget: 5,6 M€

• Duration: September 2013 – February 2016 (30 months)

• Partners: 11 partners from 9 countries

Project workflow

Achieved results • Analysis of needs

Achieved results

Achieved results • Alignment with standardization activities:

Analysis and alignment of new tests and conformance test procedures with existing standards, regulations, standardization activities and standardization needs at European level

Definition of priorities for new tests and conformance testing methods with broad consensus at European level (both inside and outside COTEVOS) and comparison with the international standardization scenario

SGAM (Smart Grid Architecture Model, M/490)

Achieved results • Reference architecture and use case mapping

Achieved results • Reference architecture (laboratory)

Achieved results • From use cases to test cases

Coherent with the requirements of the standardization activities

Common approach and in agreement with the external contacts of COTEVOS network

28 test cases into 6 groups (dynamic)

Test procedures are developed according to own strategies (evolving)

Round robin tests used for inter-laboratory comparison

Achieved results • New testing capacities for Conformance and Interoperability

Detail information about V2G transmitted by OCCPv3.0. Communication DSO controller-EVSE. Currently available version of the standard is OCCPv2.0 that do not support two direction communication. It is assumed that eventual further version of the protocol will allow both direction information exchange.
