What is Rail Baltica?

Fast, safe and environmentally friendly rail connection to Europe.The railway is going to connect Latvia with other countries of the European Union.

Facts• The length of the newly built track route will

be 728 km long.• The average speed of the passenger trains will

be 170 km/h, for cargo trains 68 km/h.• In 2030 it is planned to have 8 passenger

trains and 17 cargo trains per day.• In 2040 income of 319 million euro.
