Sir,
I/We have gone through the quotation set and have found that the quotation set is
complete in all respects according to the index sheet given and no papers are missing. I/We have
also thoroughly examined the site of work.
I/We am/are willing to execute the legal contract agreement within 4 days from the date
of receipt of the letter of intimation of acceptance of our quotation to commence the work. I/We
undertake to complete & deliver the whole of the said works within stipulated time limit from the
date of commencement.
Unless & until formal agreement is prepared and executed this quotation together with
your written acceptance thereof, shall constitute a binding contract between us.
I/we understand that you are not bound to accept the lowest or any quotation.

ARTICLE OF AGREEMENT
Articles of Agreement made the ———————————day of ————2019 between ——

(Hereinafter called the ‘Employer’ of the one part) and —————————————————
——————————— (hereinafter called the ‘Contractor’ of the other part).
WHEREAS, the employer is desirous of carrying out interior work, viz. ——————————

———————————————— and has caused drawings, bill of quantities specifications
with detailed description of the work to be done, to be prepared by ‘Architect GAP Associates,
Kolhapur, (hereinafter referred to as ‘Architects’)
Now it is hereby agreed as follows: -
In consideration of the payments to be made to the contractors as hereinafter provided,
contractors shall up on and subject to the said conditions execute and complete the work shown in
the said drawings and such further details as furnished to him by the said Architects and described
in the said detailed description and general specifications.
The employer shall pay to the contractors such sum as shall become payable hereunder at
the time and in the manner in the said conditions.
The drawings, specifications, Agreement and other documents mentioned herein shall
form the basis of the contract and the decision of the Architects, on reference to all matters of
dispute as to materials, workmanship or accounts and as to the intended interpretations of the
clauses of this Agreement or any other documents attached hereto shall be final and binding on
both the parties.
The said contract comprises the interior work above mentioned and all subsidiary works
connected herewith in the same premises as may be ordered to be done from time to time by the
said Architects even though such work may not be shown in the drawings or described in the
General specifications or in the price schedule and quantities. And at the completion, shall be
cleared.
The Employer on the advice of the Architect’s reserves the right to himself of altering the
drawings and nature of work and of adding or omitting any items of work or having portions of
the same carried out departmentally or otherwise and such alterations or variations shall be
carried out without prejudice to this contract.
The said conditions shall be read and contracted a forming part of this Agreement and the
parties here to will respectively abide by and submit themselves to the conditions and stipulativly
hereinafter set out.
The term ‘Architects’ in the said conditions shall ‘Architect, GAP Associates, Kolhapur
or in the event of his death or ceasing to be Architect for the purposes of this contract, such other
person as shall be nominated in his place by the Employer provided always that no person
subsequently appointed under this contract shall be permitted to disregard or overrule any
decision or approval or direction given or expressed by the architects for the time being.
The several parts of the contract have been cleared out to us and fully understood by us.

GNENRAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
1. Quotation will be submitted on 08.11.2019 before 2.00 p.m. at the Bank of India, Zonal
office Ratnagiri and they may be opened on 08.11.2019 by 4.00 p.m. You may remain
present at the time of opening the Quotation.
2. After finalisation of the Quotation the rates will be binding on the both parties according to
Quotation document.
3. The Quotationer should visit the site to acquaint themselves with the work and other relevant
matter.
4. Before starting any part of the work on site the contractor shall discuss the whole layout with
the Interior Designer and shall obtain necessary explanation on site to acquaint him with the
condition prevailing thereon.
5. All rubbish as it accumulates on site from time to time during progress of the work and at the
completion, shall be cleared.
6. The window glass panels, flooring, walls, plumbing & sanitary fitting and every other
element existing on the site should be protected during the execution of the work. The scope
of contract against covers breakage etc.
7. All measurements given in the drawings are almost correct but the contractor has to check
the same on site and confirm to the interior designer and get approved before starting the
work.
8. In case of respective items like tables, side units etc. contractor shall make one sample piece
and get it approved from the Interior Designer and then only can proceed for other items.
9. Water and Electricity required will be made available on site free of cost by the Bank
authority.
10. Room will be made available on site free of cost for the storage of equipment of contractor.
11. The contractor should arrange scaffolding and necessary equipments and no extra charges
would be paid for the same.
12. The contractor should co-operate with the other contractor appointed by Bank Authority.
13. Leveling of walls, columns, beams and slabs, should be done as directed by Interior
Designer.
14. The Quotation amounts mentioned is tentative and do not indicate the final completed cost of
the work. The final bill of the contractor will be paid as per actual work done.
15. Contractor is bound to work for any change in the detail specification of the individual item.
16. The Earnest Money should be in the form of Demand Draft / cash and in favour of Bank of
India.
17. Bank Authority reserves the right to deduct the income tax amount from R.A. bills as per
Govt. rules.
18. In case of technical dispute, the decision of Interior Designer (Architect) will be final and
binding on both the parties.
19. In case of any kind of labour accident the contractor will be responsible.
20. Certificate of Payment – The certificate issued by the Interior Designer (Architect) during
progress of the work or after the completion shall not relieve the contractor from his liability
under all or any clause in this contract, in case of fraud, dishonesty or fraudulent
concealment relating to the work of materials, or to any matter dealt with the certificates and
in case of all defects and insufficiencies in the works or materials disclosed. No certificate of
the Interior Designer (Architect) shall of itself be the conclusive evidence that any work or
materials to which it relates are in accordance with his contract.
21. The contractor whose Quotation is accepted will be required to enter into a stamped
agreement and should furnish stamp paper of Rs. 100/-
22. The Quotation not received in the prescribed form or received after stipulated time will be
rejected.
23. The Quotation without Demand Draft of Earnest money will be rejected.
24. A complete set of Quotation document duly filled in is to be submitted by the Quotationer.
Any omission or correction will not be allowed, in the set of Quotation from.
25. If the Quotationer fails to execute or undertake the work within 8 days after getting the work
order; the earnest money deposited by the Quotationer will be forfeited.
26. The contractor shall have to keep at least one technical person to execute the on going work
as per the drawing.
27. In case of any dispute l. l. A. Mumbai norms will be treated as guidelines.
28. No charges will paid separately for demolish & transport of existing furniture to the new site.
29. Contractor should execute electrical work through licensed hold electrical contractor.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
(A) PAINTING
1. Necessary equipment, brushes, rollers, sand papers, water papers etc. should be arranged by
contractor and will not paid extra.
2. Contractor has to finalize the shade of each and every item with the Interior Designer
and then only can proceed for the total finishing of the work.
3. Where there is no finishing is stated on the drawing, contractor has to work as per
Interior Designer’s instruction.
4 Method of working for different finishes and items should be done as stated below.
(a) Primer work e.g. (Inside the false ceiling)
Scrabbling by emery, sand paper and apply one/ two coat primer as per Interior
Designers Instruction.
(b) Putti Work – (for cement plaster and Sunla surfaces).
Scrubbing by emery, sand paper, apply two coat plastiker surface plaster with
fine surface finish. Apply chalk powder putti finish, scrubbing with water paper,
one coat oil primer with roller finish and finally two/ three coats of approved
paint finish by roller as directed by Interior Designer.
(c) Putti work for P.O.P. & Plywood
Scrubbing with water paper, apply one coat oil primer with brush, two coat chalk
powder putti finish scrubbing with water paper apply one coat oil primer with
roller finish and two coats of approved paint with roller finish as directed by
Interior Designer.
(d) Oil paint work to plywood surface
One coat primer with touchup putti with two coats oil paint with roller.
5. Cleaning of the site is total responsibility of contractor.
