Hydraulic Filter Inserts
IN-AGB Filter Insert allows individual or custom design of your reservoirwith an in-tank filtering system. The IN-AGB Insert can be used as either asuction or return line filter. Filtration begins with magnetic prefiltrationwhich collects ferromagnetic particles from fluid upstream of the filterelement. This feature alone could save hundreds of dollars a year inhydraulic component costs by assuring that the fluid is as clean as possiblewhen it leaves the filter. Even during bypass, contaminants are collected bythe magnetic core, an important feature in any fluid power system.
Take a close look and compare Arlon features with any other filter.
1. Immediately upon entering the filter, the fluid velocity is considerablydecreased, significantly aiding in efficient filtration. Inlet flow does notimpinge on the element.
2. Filtration begins with magnetic prefiltration of ferromagnetic particles inthe full fluid flow upstream of the element, not downstream of in thereservoir. Built-in or system generated ferrous wear-- – debris (evenparticles smaller that the element rating) are collected by the highstrength (3.0K Gauss) magnetic column. This results in extendedelement and oil life and reduced maintenance and downtime, whichreduces overall operating costs.
3. Fluid passes through the element in an inside-to-outside direction, collecting particles inside the filter cartridge. This prevents collectedcontaminants from falling back into the system when changing elements.
Competitive filters allow contaminated fluid to drain back into thesystem when the element is serviced.
4. Simplified bypass design and location prevents flushing previouslycollected contaminants back into the system. Since the element servesas the valve there is no troublesome separate valve to remove whenchanging elements. All Potential leakage paths are o-ring sealed toeliminate bypass leakage that can occur in loose fitting valve assemblies.
IN-AGB Filters are available with disposable or cleanable elements ofseveral contamination class levels for use in all common fluids.
Heart Of The FilterAll of these filter models use the IN-AGB insert, whetherin-tank, return line, low pressure in-line or duplex, theIN-AGB Filter Insert is the interchangeable heart ofthese filters. Used by itself, the IN-AGB allows you todesign your own in-tank filter.

Betamaze Media High Performance Betamaze...High Performance
With Long Life
After years of research Arlon offers its
best filter media ever, BetaMaze. The
media is a special blend of inorganic
microfibers formulated for unmatched
dirt holding capacity and state of the art
filtration efficiency. The filter element is
multilayer construction and wire mesh
reinforced. BetaMaze provides excellent
fatigue resistance and top performance
with pulsing (surge) flows.
The Betamaze Edge...Long Life
Because of their exceptional dirt holding
capacity BetaMaze elements need to be
changed less frequently than comparable
sized competitive elements. A real cost
savings that pays dividends every
minute of operation.
Beta Ratings
Beta ratings are the recognized industry
standard for measuring filter efficiency.
They offer the user an accurate method
of comparing different filters’ efficiency.
Beta ratings are obtained from strictly
controlled laboratory tests. The higher the
Beta ratio the greater the filter’s capacity
to capture particles larger than the
indicated Beta size. A Beta rating of
Bx≥100 has a corresponding efficiency
of 99.0%.

How It’s Applied
Insert
The Arlon IN-AGB Filter Insert is
an all-in-one self contained filter
that allows you to design your own
in-tank filter. Ideal for either
suction or return line filtering.
The IN-AGB Insert can save space,
reduce plumbing and reduce
pressure drops.
In-Tank
The Arlon In-Tank Filter is a
return line filter which utilizes the
IN-AGB Insert. It is ideal for low
contour vehicles, mobile equipment
with reservoirs integral to the
vehicle frame and compact station-
ary power units. The reservoir can
be filled through the filter.
In-Line Filters
The Arlon In-Line Filters are
designed for applications in
suction, pressure and return lines
and use the IN-AGB Insert. Models
available with pressures up to 750
psi and flows up to 200 gpm.

Multiply the actual flow rate times the applicable ∆P factor todetermine the pressure drop with a fluid viscosity of 140 SSU.Correct for other viscosities by applying the followingformula: Flow rate (GPM) x filter factor x (new viscosity inSSU/140 SSU).
